| Minneapolis (April 2007)—Target is partnering with American designer Patrick Robinson to design the next limited-edition collection for GO,™ an innovative program designed to delight guests with reasonably priced fashion created by world-renowned designers.
Patrick Robinson, one of the most celebrated names in American fashion, will launch an exclusive collection at www.Target.com/go and most Target stores nationwide on May 6, 2007. His collection of women's fashion and accessories will be available through July 15, 2007.
Robinson started his fashion career at the age of 14, creating surfer clothes for friends in Southern California. Taking his fashion aspirations to the East Coast, Robinson graduated from Parsons School of Design in NewYork and went on to design for some of the most recognized names in the industry including Giorgio Armani, Anne Klein, Perry Ellis and Paco Rabanne. Robinson's modern take on classic silhouettes has won him praise among the fashion elite. He has been a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America since 1994 and was voted one of Vogue's 100 rising stars in 1996.
"Patrick Robinson designs for women who want to feel special," said Trish Adams, senior vice president, Target. "His collection for Target is sure to please guests with its mix of easy, yet sophisticated, pieces providing affordable options for style-conscious women everywhere."
The Patrick Robinson for Target collection captures bohemian chic and just the right dose of wit, color and lightness, with relaxed silhouettes in cool fabrics and a neutral, earthtone palette. Ranging in price from $12.99 – $44.99, the line includes a variety of warm weather staples such as loose cotton tanks and flowing jersey dresses, as well as long shorts, tunics and white button-downs. Stand-out pieces include cropped canvas vests, short shorts tied at the thigh, a strapless sweetheart dress and a 3/4-length-sleeve knit top with built-in beaded necklace.
Robinson puts his own spin on summer wardrobe classics with a bold Mediterranean-inspired print found throughout the collection on a tunic, sleeveless dress, bubble skirt and reversible tank. Swimwear in solids and prints look chic with a white crochet knit sweater and large khaki sunhat. Accessories include large carry-alls and crinkled linen scarves that coordinate perfectly into the collection.
Patrick Robinson for Target brings a new twist to the GO program with carefree elegance at affordable prices, making designer fashion available to women everywhere. |
